First impressions thursday- topshop lipstick in Mercurial

Something that maybe a shock to a lot people as I have makeup from every brand under the sun is: I've never actually tried any Topshop makeup. Even though I've read all the reviews and watched all the video's I never got round to buying any because usually when I'm in Topshop my purse is already being emptied enough meaning I can never really rectify buying anything else, but, on this occasion that I went into Topshop I went in for my friend and I'm sure a lot of you have the same problem as me; when you can't go into Topshop without buying anything. So while I waited for my friend who was in the line I browsed the makeup and found one of the most beautiful lipsticks I had ever seen so of course I had to buy it! I bought the lipstick in mercurial which is a very me colour as nude lipstick is very my thing as well as it having a beautiful shine and a lovely texture it was very quickly added to  my lipstick collection. It is an absolutely gorgeous lipstick on and I feel it would compliment any skin tone and is reasonably long wearing but didn't shock me, the lipstick applies relatively smoothly but tends to stick to or bring out any dry spots on your lips so I would say before applying make sure your lips are moisturised and exfoliated. But I do feel the lipstick it's self makes up for that as it's the finishing piece to any makeup look. The packaging of the lipstick I also love with the simplicity of it and the font as well being practical and not coming off in my bag or makeup bag and ruining my lipstick and the rest of my makeup. And I think after this I will defiantly be trying other Topshop lipsticks and the rest of their makeup collection because I might of found a new little gem and if you recommend I try anything or want me to review any other products let me know.

Benefit they're real mascara and push up liner - Review

the mascara
For along time now I've been using the Benefit they're real mascara and push up liner and after request of one of my readers to do a review I was more than happy to do so. The mascara is one of my favourites along with the benefit roller lash (my post on roller lash)as it does amazing things to my eyelashes and makes them appear very long as well as being a very black formula making your eyelashes look even longer. Although I will say the mascara does focus on length and not volume so if volume is what your after you could maybe pair it with another mascara (my favourite to pair it with is the soap and glory thick and fast). The mascara also comes in silver packaging with black and orange writing which is shaped in an unusual way in true benefit style as well as there being two new shades added to the collection but overall in my opinion the benefit they're real mascara is one of my favourites and if defiantly worth trying. Although, the mascara is infamously known for being very difficult to take of and Benefit has recently come out with a remover but along with all benefit products it comes with a reasonably high price but I have found a makeup remover that works just as well for almost half the price which is the soap and glory peaches and clean deep cleansing milk which is just £8.

the eyeliner
The they're real push up liner (the second part of the set) is also one of my favourite eye makeup products and was one of the first gel eyeliner pens making gel liner a lot easier and because of this was very big when it came out and was soon copied by other companies such as smash box who's eyeliner is also very good. Because it's gel it is very long wearing and applies very smoothly, it's unique shaped tip also makes creating a wing a lot easier than normal shapes applicators. The eyeliner claims to be waterproof which I would agree with once you have let the liner set before you go in the water and also stays if you rub it and only smudges a very small amount once it has been in water a reasonably long amount of time. The eyeliner also claims to make your eyes look bigger which I also agree with as I noticed the difference between the look of my eyes when I used the push up liner and another popular liner and finally the eyeliner also claims to be long wearing something I partly agree with as it lasts longer than most eyeliners but does fade after a few hours and does begin to crumble even with the urban decay eye shadow primer underneath so if you need it to last a longer time maybe take it with you and re-apply it which would be quite easy to do as it is very portable and easy to quickly apply. The eyeliner comes in very similar packaging to the mascara as they are both part of the same set with the orange and black writing and the unique shape. So overall I do like this eyeliner a lot as it hugs the lash line making my lashes look thicker as well as you being able to easily create thick and thin lines which you can use to emphasise you eye size even more. The eyeliner also come is five shades so you can create multiple looks and also choose a liner that best fits your eye colour so I defiantly recommend trying it out.

If you are interested in buying either of the products I will link the benefit website where they do a set of both if you want to try them together- the website

I hope this review helped you and if you try either the mascara or the liner remember to send me a picture or tell me your opinion on my social medias.

Best books

This months book is private peaceful by Michael Morpurgo. A story of two brothers, them growing up and the adventures they go on that change their lives forever. It's adventure packed but still has normal everyday events that bring the book to life and make it feel more real, you can't not fall in love with the characters and their lives and the whole way through the book I wanted to hop into the pages and join them. To me it captures what it would of been like to grow up in England in the early 20th century. We travel with the main character: Tommo from his first day of school until he's an adult which gives the impression of you growing up with Tommo and his Brother Charlie making me feel more attached. The family go through ups and downs presenting the importance of family and the hardships we all go through as well as how unpredictable everyday life can be. The books end is the climax to the entire story and what the whole book is leading up to as it written in past tense by Tommo awaiting the very emotional climax. I have read a lot of emotional books but this one defiantly affected me the most out of anything I have ever read and I think that's what make this book so incredible and hard hitting. The book then ends after the climax on a cliff hanger leaving you to only pray for the best for the characters. Although Morpurgo's books are mainly aimed at younger children I feel this book is suitable for anyone of any age and if you haven't read it all ready I can't recommend it to you enough with it being one of my all time favourite book. And if you read it definatly let me know on my social media!

If you want to buy Private Peaceful you can buy it on Michael Morpurgo's website- his website

Urban decay naked 3 pallet review

The pallet
So I recently picked up the urban decay naked 3 pallet after along time of debating and have absolutely fallen in love. Since I got it it's been the only eye shadows I've used as you can do a large range of different makeup looks from everyday with the left end on the pallet to an night time look with the right end. The eye shadows are very highly pigmented and absolutely beautiful with my favourites being dust, buzz, trick and black heart. The pallets packaging is beautiful being rose gold which matches the shadows and comes with a huge mirror. The pallet also comes with a sample of each of the primer poisons which I feel you can get around 3 maybe 5 uses out of (depending on how much you use). But I will say the brush that the pallet comes with is not the best as I feel the bristles are very tightly packed making it hard to apply the shadow and even harder to blend but being a free brush it is better than most free brushes you get with a pallet. So overall in my opinion I love the naked 3 pallet and is my favourite of the naked pallets that I have tried and if your going to splurge on any naked pallet I definatley recommend this one.

If you want to check out the pallet you can click here- the urban decay website

Christmas traditions

So with Christmas being only a few sleeps away I thought I would give you a little list of what we do to get in the Christmas spirit:

1. Making sausage rolls-

In my family this is a tradition we do every year and is something we do even if we're pushed for time. Even though sometimes we only use pre-rolled pastry and shop bought sausage meat it's the idea of spending time together is what makes it special.

Our very basic recipe:

my sausage rolls; not perfect but very yummy

The things you will need-
  • sausage meat
  • short crust pastry; shop bought or homemade  ( here is a recipe if you would like to make your own-short crust pastry )
  • an egg
  • your oven pre heated to 180'c
  • flour
  • a knife
  • a baking tray

Making the sausage rolls them selves is most defiantly not difficult and it only takes a few steps.....

  1. Flour your surface.
  2. Roll out you pastry ( if making add steps before this).
  3. take a 8cm(ish) strips and lay out your meat filling around 3 cm.
  4. Fold over left over pastry and crimp ends to secure.
  5. glaze sausage rolls with you egg.
  6. cut out you sausage sizes going down you folded pastry and prick a small hole in each.
  7. Place your sausage rolls on your baking tray.
  8. Put your sausage rolls in the oven for around 15 minuets checking every so often to make sure their not burning.
  9. Take them out and let them cool.
  10. enjoy you festive treats.

P.S You could do pastry decorations on top such as holy if your feeling extravagant!

2. Christmas family walks-
A picture from our walk

Over the festive period families tend to spend more time together and we're no exception and if you feel your lacking a little festive spirit I've found that one way to increase it is a little festive walk. Living in the middle of the countryside and being surrounded by fields; finding somewhere to walk isn't much of a problem but if it is maybe taking the time to find somewhere as a family and making a day trip out of it could make that little bit more special. Being in the cold and taking in all the wintery scents defiantly feels like Christmas to me! And you never know you could find somewhere special.

3. Pop to a Christmas market-

Although a little late in the season a Christmas market would most defiantly be a way to get in the festive spirit and I'm sure if you looked hard enough you would be able to find one. There a very easy way to get you felling festive, usually have a very cosy atmosphere as well as being full of Christmassy smells like mulled-wine and cinnamon and beautiful decorations and yummy food. As well as being a great place to get unique and hand made presents that no one else would of got and I can certainly admit to spending a little more than I should have at a market or two. And if you find a good one you could go for a cheeky ice skate to burn off all the food you probably shouldn't of eaten.

4. Eat some festive treats-

Although it may sound simple but eating festive food and drinking festive drinks will always get me in the spirit. Christmas treats maybe be different to different people but to me it would be a hot chocolate with whip cream and candy cane or one of the four main elf food croups or simply just some celebrations or roses. You could also make a ginger bread house or cookies; something you could do as a family or with a friend because that's what Christmas is all about (plus afterwards you get some really scrummy teats which is also what Christmas is all about).

I hope my suggestions helped you get in the festive spirit and if you try any of them remember to tweet me pictures or tag me in them on instagram. I hope you have a wonderful day even if you don't celebrate Christmas .

Best books

Welcome to October and with a new month there's a new book; How to  survive a heat wave. A fiction by Maggie O'Farrel set in July 1976 in London during the heatwave when Robert Riordan tells his wife Gretta he's going to the corner shop and doesn't come back.

Obviously with it being the start of a month I haven't read  very far into the book only reading 63 pages but so far those 63 pages have been jam packed, the book is written in such a real way it's like you're there with them experiencing the story. Maggie O'Farrel writes with so much talent it's addictive and I can't put it down because I just want to know what happens next.

The story dips  in and out of different members of the families lives all experiencing their own problems in their lives but to find out what really you'll have to read it just like me.

Benefit's big easy review

Quite a while ago benefit came out with the big easy which I bought when it first came out and was very impressed with! As you can expect from the name this product is very easy to use with it applying in a liquid formula and then setting as matte powder meaning it's a product you don't need to set. So if you're new to makeup you wouldn't need to go out and buy other products, I think it  would also be perfect for someone who's new to makeup because instead of being a foundation it's a "bb balm" so just like a bb cream it will include a moisturiser and primer again making it a very simple product.

Although I like the formula, finish and packaging of it, with it being a very typical Benefit packaging and reminding me of a circus, I would say the only issue with it would be the small shade range which although isn't a problem for me but could be for a lot of people with it only going up to deep beige which in my opinion is only a tanned shade and not one for someone with a darker skin tone. So would be the only thing I would change about the product which may be something they will bring out in the future but being as it has already been out along time I doubt they will. But if you have lightish skin I definitely recommend you try this product out !

Benefit's roller lash

Benefit's roller lash has a lot of praise online with everyone and their dog talking about it, but, I can completely understand why. Although not being the cheapest mascara on the market being £19.50 it's one of the best mascaras I have tired! The whole idea of roller lash is keeping and putting a curl in your lashes so you don't have to use a eyelash curler and although curling my eyelashes is something I have to do out of habit it definitely helps to hold the curl a lot better than any others.I already knew it would quite good from using past benefit mascaras, they're real was one of my favorites, but I had no idea how good it really is! I'll go as far to say it's my altime favorite mascara which if you know me you know means alot as I have a lot of them; with just two coats it gives me the finish that three different mascara gave me in the past. Which means that not only do my eyelashes look better but it takes me half as long to do and is definitely a welcomed new member to makeup! If you haven't tried roller lash and you have the money to send on a mascara i definitely recommend it especially if you a mascara junkie like me!

Monthly must haves! July

Good bye July and hello August ! Some things I've loved over  the month of July and have been my monthly must are:

Eco tools make-up brushes

I recently brought some of the eco tools brushes on a whim that they might be any good as I wanted to try something new so I picked up a set for £9  which if they didn't work wouldn't be much of a waste but I  was pleasantly surprised! They are some of the best brushes I've ever tried with soft brissels, a good even application of product and a brush rap to keep them in; amazing for travel but best of all they are completely eco friendly and cruelty free. Trying to get things that are eco friendly and cruelty free is something I strive to do with my make-up and skin care but can be hard to do as a lot of the high end brands test on animals so I try and buy cruelty free when I can! The eco tools message is :

" Ecotools is a leader in eco-concious beauty products, most notably  know for its incredibly soft make-up brushes. We are inspired by beauty inside and out, and in the world around us. Looking beautiful and living beautiful is what ecotools is all about. We are known for are incredibly soft, 100% cruelty free, bamboo handled cosmetic brushes, and have since advanced the line to bring our fans their favourite bath, spa and lash products to amplify their beauty routine."  I love the brushes and have been using them everyday since I bought them and plus a few brushes (my eyebrow and eye liner brush) they cover all the brushing needs for my everyday make up and I'm defiantly planning on buying some more which you can do to on the eco tools website.

                                                           ghd straighteners and "creation spray"

During July I had my hair cut a little shorter into the very popular 'Zoella' style which instead of wearing in my daily pony tail/ bed head bun thing I wear it down and bit more styled which  I use my 'ghd' straighteners to do with their "ceramic technology" everyday to get rid of any kinks, waves or frizz that has decided to join my hair over night. And being as I do this nearly everyday to stop the heat form killing my hair and giving me a thousand split ends I use the "ghd creation spray for iron styling" which came with the straighteners. To use this I simply brush out my main of hair and evenly sprits spray around my hair and then brush it through again to distribute the spray from root to tip and then just straighten my hair and curl the ends to help frame my face. I love the  finish when I pair these two products together as it leaves my hair: soft, shiny and healthy looking which is something you don't tend to get when using heat on your hair as it tends to end up: wiry, dull and full of split end but that's something you don't get with ghd's and although being a tad on the pricey side I would defiantly splash out on good long lasting straighteners which help my hair rather than break after and year and damage my hair!

                                                                      Topshop Moto ripped jeans

So at the end of June being as it was my birthday month I decided to treat my self to a new pair of jeans from top shop and so trying something a bit different to what I already had I decided to pick up the "Moto ripped Jamie jeans" which are most defiantly worth every penny I spent as they are my all time favourite jeans I have ever owned which go with almost everything and are so comfortable! On a daily basis I tend to wear them with a navy vest top, an over sized cosy cardigan and plain nude flats which I wear basically everyday and would if I didn't have to wash them. And although a lot of the time buying jeans with rips is a bit of a risk as they tend to grow over time with washing and when you accidentally put your whole leg through the hole ( please tell me I'm not the only one!) but after having these jeans for almost a whole month I think it's safe to say that the rips are not likely to grow any time soon no matter how many times i put my leg through them! And like all of my favourite's I definable recommend you check the jeans out and I bet you'll love them as much as I do!

   Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte

So I think this is a book that has been loved and cherished by hundreds or thousands of people with the heart wrenching tale of the orphaned Jane Eyre, her heart braking start in life and her incredible story a story that grasped me from the very beginning! And although not having finished the book I can't put it down since I bought when I was actually in the Salisbury Cathedral gift shop when I saw it and as it was only £2.50 which is an incredible price for a book I had to buy it and I definitely don't regret it! You can pick up your copy of Jane Eyre on the Water stones  website.

 Antler travel case

As I going away for a month instead of taking a little make up bag squeezing all my make up in I instead take my Antler travel case with compartments for pallets, brushes as well as zip pocket for smaller products like eye-liner and lipsticks. As well as it being a better storage system it's also a harder case so it means less make up will get get damaged and broken by the plane people throwing your suite cases. And although I couldn't find my one on the website they may have something similar on line or in any local bag or suit case shops.

I hoped you enjoyed my monthly must haves for July.

La De Dah travel journal

an over view of where I'm going
Along with basically everyone and their dog I love travelling and to remember everything I've done I love taking photo's ,which you should already know from an earlier post ;), but instead of putting them in a bogstandered and boring photo album and doing the hole scrap booking thing (because to be honest that's way to much effort for me) I put them in my La De Dah travel journal which has the storage of a photo album  and the uniqueness of a scrapbook with more colour and half as much work and as I said in a past post (summer) I'm going to do a week in pictures using my journal.
the two opening pages for my trip

So if you don't know what a La De Dah travel journal is it's a smaller version of a scrapbook but with colourful pages and inserts created by the company which you can buy at most craft and hobby shops as well as online ( as my link shows). Personally I buy my supplies from my local hobbycraft where I also pick up other supplies for my journal from other companies. One I like to buy from is Santoro Gorjuss which is a company I love and also recommend you check out because as well as making craft supplies they make bags and notebooks, pens and other accessories or I just get the hobbycraft  craft packs full of stuff for only £15  which are perfect for the journal. The journal's come' in a large range of styles from: Indie to pretty to baby for their first holiday. Made for travel they have pages for all your holiday adventures but can be used for just your everyday adventures and memories.

the cover of my journal
As I'm journalling my holiday this year and have already made my title page I thought I would show you how I personally use the journal and which one I use with which inserts.

Summer

So summer is here with it's blue Sky's, sunny days, warm weather... well only if you live somewhere hot and not in the UK like my self or if you're going away to some where hot and tropical, not like my self. But instead of going away somewhere hot I'm going up to Scotland to see my family and go back to where my family is from just like I do every year. This year I'm going up for 4 weeks to catch up on everything I've missed over the year as well as Scotland being my favorite place so I love going up and to be honest 4 weeks still isn't long enough.
But to keep you updated on all my adventures and everything I'm doing I'll do a weekly round up of everything I've done through out that week; my week in photos as well as pictures of my La De Dah journal which I'm going to make over the summer. So to stay up dated on my trips to Loch Ness, the beach and Bijou by the sea make sure to visit my blog and read all about it.

Coconut oil

In my monthly must haves I talked about coconut oil and briefly explained the uses and places you can buy it and the brand I use and how I use virgin coconut oil but being as I did go into it briefly I thought I would go in to it in a bit more detail.

As I said before I use the brand coconoil which is "certified virgin coconut oil organic" so means it's totally pure having had nothing added to it and so is better for you and your skin than say a moisturiser that has had chemicals, scents and colours added to it and could be doing more damage than good! As well as being organic which means that when it was grown it had nothing added to it like chemicals again meaning it's a lot better for you than some thing that isn't organic.

Although being rather expensive being £20 for 460g it lasts a long time being quite a big pot it is grown in Sir Lanka and is:

  • cold pressed
  • rich in lauric acid
  • cholesterol free
  • naturally  sugar free
  • rich in medium chain triglycerides (MCT)
  • energy boosting
  • flavour enhancing
  • no additives
  • no preservatives
which is a lot of benefits for a pot of 460g making it defiantly worth £20. As well as having a lot of benefits it also has a lot of uses again making it worth £20 some of which are:

  • cooking - instead of fattening oils as well as being flavour and energy boosting.
  • as a moisturiser - as a body and face moisturiser although at first feeling oily on the skin after a few minutes of letting it sink in it makes your skin feel soft and refreshed weather you use it on your face or body. Although I tend to only use it on my face at night as make up tends to slip of my face due to the oil creating a barrier.
  • hair mask - I use the coconut oil as a hair mask; around 20 minutes before I go into the shower (I recommend only use it when your having a shower)I use the mask in two ways: if I feel the ends of my hair are getting damaged or just need a bit of help I will concentrate the oil on the ends of my hair, I work the oil up from the bottom of my hair up to the nape of my neck and then put my hair up in a clip or in a top not letting the oil sit in the hair. Then just before I go into the shower I shampoo the ends because if you don't the oil creates a barrier stopping the oil from being washed out properly. And if I feel my scalp is dry or damaged it will do the same process but work the oil from my hair line just to the nape of my neck and pin my hair up and then shampoo my hair and then wash it out.
Although I know some things about coconut oil and how to use it but I'm defiantly not an expert and a lot of people know a lot more than I do and one person who knows a lot more than I do is the owner of the blog Wellness mama  who has a post about 101 ways to use coconut oil which I think you should check out if you want some more information on it!

I hope you enjoyed a little bit more information on coconut oil and I hope that it was a help!

Talk to you soon

Monthly Must Haves!

I can't believe that already May is coming to an end, the months just seem to be flying past and soon I will be at the end of the school year as well as my birthday! Although it seems this month has just flashed before my eyes I have got some favourites or: my monthly must haves!

Makeup

Firstly my favourite makeup and skin care product is a 2 or 3 in one, the Garnier Miracle skin cream, a mix of a BB cream/foundation and moisturiser it's the perfect speed product in a morning especially for me as I am defiantly not a morning person and like to sleep in for as long as possible! It makes your skin glow and look dewy with out looking oily as well as having beautiful light coverage that lets your own skin and imperfections shine through making it look like you having nothing on your skin! Because it's also a moisturiser it feels like you have a moisturiser on your skin, it doesn't block your pores and because of this my skin with out makeup just keeps getting better and better so I agree with the name and would say that it is defiantly a miracle skin cream and defiantly some thing that I will love for months to come. Although I would say the only problem is that it goes on one colour which is a very medium beige so if you are fair or dark skinned this may not be the product for you but being as its such an amazing product I think garnier should bring it out in different shades!

Beauty

My beauty must have this month is: coconut oil , coconut oil,is the best natural beauty product I have tried with hundreds of different ways to use it! I choose to use it as a hair mask as well as a face and body moisturiser but you could use it as a healthier option to cooking oil and so much more.I uses the brand coconoil which is the brand in the picture above which I purchase from the little barn gift shop a small little gift and craft shop which sells natural remedies, skin and health care as well as little bits and pieces and gifts. Being next to a bus cafe, farm shop and family fun farm it's the  perfect place for a family day out with something for all the family which I would defiantly recommend going to especially in the summer!

My favourite artist of the month is Shawn Mendes who I recently discovered when it came up in my suggested section on You tube. I love how he does a lot of acoustic music showing he has real talent as well as having a range of other songs but my favourite has to be life of the party which I think you should defiantly check out!

My author of the month is Barbara Erskine  the best selling author of Lady of hay. My favourite book of hers is Warrior Princess; a book about a girl called Jess who has a terrible crime commuted to her so goes a way to her sisters house in Wales where she discovers a ghost called Egion and her brother and sister in the forest around the house. She connects with Egion as she had the same terrible thing happen to her and she travels to Rome to follow Egion's Story! It's an amazing book which I couldn't put down, at the start it makes you think one person did it but then changes half way through and the story is forever evolving and there's never a boring moment, as every chapters is a cliff hanger! I think everyone no matter your genre of book should read it!

Birthday Wishlist !!!

Bucket list book rom etsy
So very soon it's my birthday (the 4th of June) and it's an understatement to say I'm very excited since we're keeping up the family tradition of going to London every year but being as it's less than a month till my birthday my family and friends start asking me about what I want so I thought to make it easier and I would just write it all down.....

sun flower vans
Book mark from etsy

Mac Cinderella lip stick in free as butterfly
Anastasia dip brown pomade in blonde
Jack wills flats

So the first thing I would like are the sun flower vans from schuh; my favourite shoes at the minute are my American flag vans which I got for Christmas which are all ready falling apart  since I wear them everyday because they are literally the comfiest shoes I've ever had hence the reason I won't another pair as well as the fact that their really cute!

The second thing I would like is a Bucket list book from estsy as this year I'm doing lots of cool and exciting things like sleeping under the stars or just exploring London as well as spending several weeks in Scotland with my family so I would just like to note down and write about everything I'm doing and have done.

The 3rd thing I would love to get is the Mac lipstick in "free as a butterfly" from the cinderella collection the Cinderella collection is so so beautiful as well as my love for nude lipsticks (my ever growing collection)  so this absolutely beautiful lipstick would just be the icing on the cake to my lipstick collection.

The fourth thing I would like to get is the dip brow pomade in blonde from Anastasia Beverly hills because I'm naturally blonde and so naturally have invisible eyebrows so this product will help me to "up my brow game" as well as making sure that at the end of a school day my eyebrows haven't worn off.

The fifth thing I would like is a book mark from etsy   being as I'm a big reader I don't actually have any nice (or actually any) book marks so I thought if I got a really nice one which I can use for a really long time!

And the last but most certainly not the least thing I would like are Jack Wills flats  in a size five but as well as being the most lovely thing they are  also the most expensive thing on my list but defiantly amazing quality  so will last me a really long time so I will most certainly (make sure!) I will get ALL of my bang for my buck!

So this is my birthday list and this is in no way trying to make you feel you have to buy my something but just to give people who I actually know who WANT to buy me something an idea about what I like.

Beautiful Places!

One of the things I love doing is traveling;
Seeing new things, tasting new food, learning about cutlers and beliefs and most of all learning about the history of the country, town or city. Finding the hidden stories of the people who lived their, discovering a new world, finding how they lived, what they did, what they believed and so much more. It's like an unopened book just begging to be read. It broadens your mind and makes you think how different thing were and even now how different that new place is. Because all these places are so different they are also so beautiful too some of my favourite places are:

Belgium

Ghent
A roof top view

One very beautiful place I love a lot is Ghent in Belgium, as well as a lot of other places in Belgium but my favourite is Ghent, with its ancient architecture being full of beautiful grand buildings and a beautiful bell tower I would recommend it to everyone to go and visit and I wish I had spent longer there and discovered more. The people are very kind and welcoming as well as a large number of the population speaking English ,the second most common language in the city,it has a lot of places to spend the day in adorable river side cafes, under a sheltered bridge listening to the amazing music of the buskers or just in the shadow of the bell tower of cathedral defiantly enough to do to spend two weeks exploring as well as having the best frozen yogurt I have ever had I recommend just natural with raspberries and water melon!B and B's in Ghent

Ypres

My second beautiful place is still in Belgium but has a deeply darker history
4 soldiers in a Germany Cemetery
#photo bomb
than Ghent, a place where battles were fought and won and lives lost and saved a place defiantly filled with unread stories and dark secrets taken to the grave. Ypres Belgium is home to the thousands of graves of the world war one solders, host to many battles and home to many deaths. It is filled with beautiful trees, houses and buildings as well as beautiful cemeteries ( you will defiantly notice the difference between German and British graves) it is the perfect tourist destination and defiantly has amazing chocolate and chips. I spent a day their with Anglian tours and it was one of the most insightful and emotional days of my life we learned a lot, eating "trench food", learning how to sign up, seeing the uniforms, looking at rebuilt trenches as well as watching a day in the trenches and finally singing silent night just like they did on Christmas day all those years ago. Ypres is a truly beautiful city I instantly fell in love with, suited and very welcoming to tourists and just like Ghent I defiantly recommend you visiting and learning about all the history of the Great War! B and B's in Ypres

Btw sorry for all the pictures I had a lot to choose from.

Germany

Another beautiful place not so far from Belgium although having a large part in the dark history of the country is Germany with it's rolling hills and beautiful river side banks it is defiantly easy on the eyes, I went on holiday there for a week, site seeing , going over cable cars, searching through shops and best of all going to fantasia land a huge theme park a lot like Thorpe park of or Alton towers. I love the country seeing it from the river on the cruise and from the sky on the cable car defiantly helped to revile some of its secrets, as well as being beautiful it had some lovely food and ice cream (a lot like all the other countries). I would defiantly visit again and recommend as well as having a lot to see it was a good place to unwind with beautiful towns perfect for a photograph keen to widen their collection!B and B's in Germany

Scotland

Last but certainly not least and any less beautiful is Scotland full of tall mountains, hills, lakes/loch's and castles and a lot of history is the perfect place for me and defiantly my favourite out of the four. With my family originally being from the Isle Of Lewis I have spent a lot of time there especially in Buckie; an ancient fishing village, with a large harbour full of big beautiful boats, stunning coastlines and beach's with little caves ready to discover and  gorgeous B and B's on the coat it has everything to offer a tourist. My favourite place to eat there is Bejou by the sea a café with sea views, amazing food, lovely ice cream and a sister shop in a near by town and not too expensive you could eat a lot of meals there especially if your staying in the caravan and trailer park across the road. Scotland and Buckie has a lot to offer like loch ness, the Edinburgh volts and distilleries and if any of you have the chance to go and explore the beautiful country you should grasp it with two hands!

So I hope you enjoyed all the beautiful places I have been and hope to add to!
