First impressions Thursday - Rimmel Fix and Perfect Primer

Recently I picked up the Rimmel fix and perfect primer as it was on offer and I was very impressed. The primer smooth's my skin, has a nice sent, makes my skin soft and hydrated before my makeup, makes my makeup go on smoother and finally helps my makeup stay longer. It also helps to slightly brighten my skin and mattify it before I put on my makeup.

I love this primer and it really does help improve the quality of makeup, this is also my new favourite primer and is a perfect cheaper version for the  smash box photo finish primer which you all know that I love due to it being one of my terrific Tuesday ,but, this primer is just as good or better than the smash box one and is almost £30 pounds cheaper. I prefer the rimmel one as it mattifies my face rather than the other one making a little more oily which helps the makeup stay on my face longer and improves the quality of the makeup although, it may not be the primer but my skin as become a little dryer. Bit overall despite the small problem this primer is very good and has really improved the overall appearance of my makeup.

Terrific Tuesday - Liz Earle superskin concentrate

This weeks terrific Tuesday is a skin saving product that I love. The Liz earle super skin concentrate which is a roll on face oil which helps to plump and smooth the skin. It also claims to:
"plump, smooth and rebalance the look and feel of your skin with this aromatic, intensive night-time concentrate."
The oil helps to just make my skin look a lot plumper and healthier as well as being relaxing before you go to sleep.

As most of you already know how good the other Liz earle products are you won't be surprised at how good this one is, it really refreshes and perfects my skin and just seems like it magically transforms my skin over night and works amazing with the other Liz earl products. Just like all the other Liz earl products it smells amazing and is cruelty free and if your skin is just looking a bit dull and tired I would really recommend you try this product out!

Terrific Tuesday- soap and glory thick and fast mascara

This weeks Terrific Tuesday is something that I've been using for around two months and have been a fan of. One thing that is something that I take quite a long time on and something that may surprise you is my mascara. Because I wear glasses I use more mascara than most people to make my eye's more defined behind my glasses as I feel they tend to get lost behind the frames and having very light hair and light eyelashes I don't have the natural definition so I do it through my mascara and eyeliner. One of the Christmas presents from my parents was a soap and glory makeup set and in it was soap and glory thick and fast mascara, when I use mascara I actually never use just one and when I use thick and fast I use it along with the benefit they're real mascara, another one of my favourites, which creates the finish I like of long and full eyelashes. It is a very black formula and is reasonably long wearing; although it does have a slightly strange sent and does definitely sting if you get it in your eye when taking it off but overall this is one of my new favourite mascara's and as it's a high street product it won't be painful to my bank account to buy it. (P.s at the moment the mascaras on offer at boots)

My 5 product face

One thing that is part of my morning routine every day without fail is makeup ,but, since I have to be at my bus stop everyday for quarter to 8 I don't want to spend half an hour doing my makeup so I've come up with my perfect 5 product face!

1. The benefit big easy bb balm - This all in one bb balm works as a moisturiser, primer, bb cream and powder, because of this I can do 4 steps in a few quick strokes of a brush cutting around 5 minuets of my makeup routine which although not sounding like much but in the morning when I'm trying to be a quick as possible it really helps.

2. The soap and glory super cat liner - one thing that I can't go without is eyeliner as it just finished my face and makes me look complete; this eyeliner is a felt tip which helps make it faster again something important and I can do my signature wing.

3. The benefit they're real mascara - This my all time favourite mascara. It gives a good balance of length and volume without making them look too fake and in your face but makes them stand out just enough behind my glasses, it also has a amazing staying power is all around just amazing.

4.Loreal brow artist plumper - Because I have light hair my eyebrows are near on non existent this product helps to just give my brows some substance before I fill them in and make them appear more natural. It's reasonably well wearing and doesn't break up during the day and has a good colour.

5. My final product is the soap and glory brow archery - A brow pen and crayon in one; it helps to save time as you don't have to rush around looking for the other product but simple have to turn it over as well as if your using one step and want to redo part of it you don't have to find the other product again. It has good colour matches and staying power and is just a good quick and easy product.

I hope you enjoyed this Fridays blog post and that it helps you cut out that bit of time in a morning.

Terrific Tuesdays- Smashbox photo finish primer

This weeks terrific Tuesday and I have had a bit of a love hate relationship since buying it; at the start I actually wasn't going to by the smashbox primer at all and was actually looking to buy the bare minerals prime time but after being rudely ignored by the women at the counter I then took a little walk to boots where I picked up the smash box one for a penny pinching £35. At first I was in love with the primer because at the time it was one of the first high end products I had actually bought myself so  it automatically meant a lot but as time went on I noticed the days I missed out the step of primer I felt my makeup lasted longer so I decided to put I away in a draw. I later found out that I had actually been using to much of the primer which probably stopped it from actually working to it's too potential and so a few months later I fished it out and began using it again and just like a case of dajavo I fell out of love once agin because this time I felt it was making my face oily so once again a threw it in a draw. But a few weeks ago I was going threw my makeup and throwing way any thing out of date or empty and I found this primer and really I should of thrown it out but I thought I would try it one last time and I was very impressed so I went out a bought a new and have been loving it! It really dose hold my makeup on, an example would be last week when I had a five our rehearsal which is basically a mini work out and my makeup didn't move and if you are looking to use this primer I hope for you it doesn't take around two years for you to truly fall in love with the product. Another amazing thing about this primer is how long it lasts and how much you get in tube and barring in mind each time I used it I used it for around a few months and when I threw out the out of date tube you wouldn't of even thought I had used it! I hope you enjoyed this weeks terrific Tuesday and I hope to speak to you soon.

Lots of Love

Best books- Emma

This months best book is Emma by Jane Austin, I haven't really read a lot of classics as I mostly read books that are very modern but a few months ago I was in a book shop and decided to pick it up, at the time I was still reading a different book so didn't start Emma till quite recently but I have been loving it so far. Right now I have just started the 2nd volume of 3 in the book and the story has just begun getting started, because it's a classic it tends to take longer to get into the story as it has a lot of description so if you prefer a story that gets started straight away I wouldn't say this book is for you but then you have to take in consideration that it is actually a classic; although that could also be a reason some one wouldn't enjoy it as much. The story that I have read so far is about Emma the youngest daughter of Mr woodhouse a member of high class society who try's to set her friend up with Mr Elton a young gentleman of the local area when things don't go as she intended... I've really enjoyed the book so far and recommend it for anyone wanting to try a classic but like I said before I wouldn't say it's for someone who would either find it boring or just isn't into classics but I would still recommend giving it a try!

Terrific Tuesdays- Maybeline gel liner

This weeks terrific Tuesday is the Maybelline pot gel liner because without a doubt it has completely changed my eyeliner game! Because I recently ran out of my Benefit they're real push up liner I had to pick one up and because I didn't have time to go buy it from town I went to my local super market and picked up this Maybelline one after one of friends recommended it and it is an understatement to say I'm impressed! I picked up the liner in 01 black and unlike some liners it is very true to it's name and is very opache black defining the eyes further, in the packet the liner comes with a double sided eyeliner brush which I am surprised as how much I like it. On one end you have the classic gel liner pen that you get with most gel liners but to me what makes the liner stand out is the other end; it is a sort of oval shaped sponge which can be used to smug the liner but I find it helps to create a better wing by dragging it up past the one you have created with the brush which drags out the gel and creates the appearance of a more professional wing. This is defiantly my favourite liner over all the ones I have used which range from liquid, felt tip and even the higher end gels which are normal the best of £20 or more compared to this one being no more than 10. I think this eyeliner is perfect from anyone from beginners, especially because of the low price, to someone who's be doing eyeliner for 50 years and if your looking for a new eyeliner I defiantly recommend you try this one!
