Berlin - May 2016 Day 3

On our third and final day in Berlin we unfortunately only stayed for half a day before traveling home, but in the time we did have left we did quite a lot. We left the hotel quite early that morning and headed to a train station where we got a few trains into the city, with us being quite a big group this was quite a stressful thing and needless to say it was a close call for some people be left behind! After the few trains we walked to the Jewish Museum on what was a very hot day so it wasn't the worst thing I could think of, once we got to the Jewish museum we walked around the gardens while we waited for the tour; the gardens at the museum and the whole building was just incredible! The museum was designed by architect Daniel Libeskind who designed it so that the different exhibits worked with the building so that the building is part of the exhibits which is what makes it so unique and incredible.

Once we started our tour around the museum we saw all the incredible things inside; it ranged from pictures of real people who lived through the holocaust and their stories to their belongings. When I was in the museum I learnt a lot about how Jewish people were treated during the second world war, how their lives changed and what they did to keep safe. One of the more incredible things I saw was a map with the different hiding places of a family in hiding in Berlin during the war and the different places for the different family members(a family who were successful in hiding too!) although the two most incredible things in the museum in my opinion where the two structures built to represent the fate and ending of the different people. One was outside, with tall concrete blocks with grass and plants on top which to me represented hope and freedom, the other one was much different, the other exhibition was inside a dark room shut off from the other parts of the museum and leading up to this room where all the names of the concentration camps on the walls showing that this was supposed to represent the fate of the people sent to the concentration camps. The room itself was completely black and when the door was shut it was almost pitch black except from a small slit of light coming from a tiny window in the top corner showing that there was still a very small chance of hope and survival be it small and very far away which to me was quite incredible and touching!

After going to the museum which was insanely amazing and I wholeheartedly recommend going to if you're in Berlin! We then went on a river tour at around 11:30 which we very nearly missed! The tour went past most of the places we had visited in the last three days showing us it from a different point of view along with new things once again showing how beautiful the city is! One of my favourite places we went past on the river tour was the 'Bode-Museum' (or at least that's what I think it was called as we just went past) as this was the last thing we did in Berlin before getting ready to go home I think it was a lovely way to finish the trip and see Berlin for the last time. After the boat trip we got a train to one of the main train stations where we bought food for our trip home before finally going back to our hotel getting our luggage and sadly heading home.

I hope you enjoyed my time in Berlin as much as me and that you'll possible consider going taking a trip your self to this amazing city!

Lunch at the Walled Garden

When I was in Scotland this August I went to Gordon Castle in Fochabers; a very sweet little town near to where I was staying with very good fish and chips, which is known for it's "walled garden". The gardens are absolutely beautiful and were built in 1803, full of different fruit trees and vegetables and greenhouse full of different types of tomatoes and fruits. The garden also has children play areas and houses around the edges that reminded me of the secret garden and would be a dream to live in. Finally in the garden their is a café that was sensational, it has such a huge range of food and such a friendly feeling, serving food fresh from the garden and the local area. When I went it was only lunch time so I couldn't try some of the food that did sound amazing as we had only gone in for something small but I had the Scottish smoked and cured fish board and a Fentimans Victorian Lemonade(my favourite). The platter has a range of fresh fish from different types including oak smoked salmon, smoked trout, smoked peppered markerel, hot smoked salmon, marinated Orkney herring (which were amazing)along with some home made foccia bread and some salad. The platter was incredible, as a seafood lover, there was actually too much fish (a very rare occurrence) and I would definitely recommend paying a visit if your in the area!

After lunch we then went for a walk around the garden it's self and as it was a very hot day (I know very surprising for Scotland)it was lovely! With lots of fruit trees we couldn't help but try a few plumbs which were very nice! The garden had beautiful flowers which smelt amazing and topped off the day perfectly and next time I'm in Scotland I will be going again. Mother even purchased a bottle of their world famous gin!

I hoped you enjoyed todays blog post

Berlin - May 2016 Day 2

During our second day in Berlin we left the city and went to Sachsenhausen concentration camp. When we got to the camp we got handsets that would tell you about all the individual parts of the camp along with a map of the camp. When you first go into the camp their is a small wood full of memorials and graves for all the people killed at the camp which was beautiful and quite, the fact that it was surrounded by the trees really added to it and made it more secluded. This also created contrast from the camp it's self which was very open, to get into the camp you walk through the original gate from when the camp was in use which seamed very surreal. The camp is now very open with only a few buildings remaining of the original barracks that were there and lived in but instead in place of them are stones in the shape of the them; which is the Jewish way of memorial instead of flowers which was a thoughtful touch. Although this camp in particular was for political prisoners it did house a variety of prisoners accused of different crimes. Although there were still a few barracks which we could go into; in the barracks there were still the original toilets and wash basins that were used along with information and stories of people who were in the camp in other rooms which would of been use for sleeping in. We could also go to the execution ranges that were used at the camp which surprisingly wasn't the most disturbing thing in the camp, the part of the camp that effected me the most were the medical barracks: in these rooms people were tested on with diseases, they were also experimented on by other imitates along with body stores below them. The rooms were just cold and ere especially the medical rooms that were still the same from when they were used. But despite all the horrible things in the camp that reminded us of the atrocities that happened here there were also beautiful memorial that were built through out the camp after it was liberated including two status and stain glass window in a museum on the site. The camp also has a building full of belonging of the inmates such as cards made for female inmates and cutlery made by inmates. But overall visiting the camp was an eye opening and education experience that I recommend doing if your in the Berlin area.

After going to the concentration camp we went to Potsdam and to the site of the Potsdam conference; which was held at Cecilienof: the old home of the German Royal family as Berlin was too dangerous in 1945 when the conference was held. We has a tour through out the building which told us all about the conference, the German royal family and other pieces of information you wouldn't get from a text book. The building was very beautiful but photography wasn't aloud so I'm not able to show you but it was very beautiful and something I recommend seeing. After the tour we walked around the garden was also very beautiful and as photography was aloud I can show you.

After Potsdam we then went back to the hotel for dinner after which we headed back out into Berlin where we went to a few gift shops and of course starbucks. Then we headed to the television tower or the Berliner Fernsehturm which is 368 meters tall and is the second tallest structure in Europe. To get to the top you go up a lift,(as that would be a lot of stairs)when you get to the top the whole way around there are windows so you can see the whole of Berlin which is amazing although I wouldn't recommend if your afraid of heights! It also has a bar at the top so it is quite popular with people who live in Berlin ans not just tourists. The television tower also has a gift shop at the bottom to buy souvenirs so you can remember the amazing experiences.

After going to the television tower we went back to the hotel, which was the end of day two.

Terrific Tuesday - Makeup Revolution ultra cover and conceal palette in Medium - Dark

This weeks terrific Tuesday is my new favourite makeup item, if you know me you know that medium - dark isn't my concealer shade especially as I use the lightest shades I possibly can to highlight ,but, I don't use it for it's intended purpose but instead to contour. For a really long time I've been looking for a cream contour pallet that doesn't cost a fortune and as all I could find were powder pallets I decided to use a contour pallet instead. The pallet has eight shades in it ranging from reasonably light (almost my foundation shade) to really dark which may too dark for me to use, but 7 are perfect contour shades which help me to create multiple looks from subtle contour to very strong defined contour.

The shades are very creamy and smooth and blend seamlessly into the rest of my makeup creating a very natural looking contour which I wouldn't normally be able achieve with powder contour. In each of the shade's there is a reasonable amount of product which as the pallet was only £6 is defiantly good value for money, I also really like the simplicity of the makeup revolution pallet, I've had pallets from them in the past and the packaging is quiet long wearing and well made. It also is very visually appealing especially when you have quite a few with the black packaging and gold / rose gold writing. The pallets also have very big mirrors making them very practice and perfect for traveling as they give you an opportunity for a variety of looks in a small slim pallet. The product is also reasonably long wearing especially as it's a cream product.

I hope you enjoyed this weeks terrific Tuesday and consider buying the pallet if your looking for a cream contour pallet (I also think this would be perfect for someone with a darker skin tone because of the darker shades)

Terrific Tuesday - Longchamp Le Pliage Shopper

Unlike most terrific Tuesdays this weeks isn't going to be on a beauty product by a bag; the Longchamp Le Pliage medium shopper. I bought this bag when I was in Berlin a little over a month ago when I was in the KaDeWe mall, I had wanted this bag for a really long time and had looked on their website going through all the colours and styles but when I was in Berlin and I saw they had a Longchamp store I could resist buying one. I chose the black medium le Pliage with gold hardware and long straps although the do offer a personalisation option where you can make you bag look how you want, I got this bag firstly for traveling as to me it's the perfect carry on as it's huge on the inside so can fit everything I would need as I can fit me laptop in with there still being space for a lot more, the bag can also be wiped down because of the nylon material it's made out of so if anything was to leak or get spilt on it I could simply wipe it away. But this bag is also great for days out an example of this is when I used it when I went to Thorpe Park or when I went to Winchester Science Centre and or school or work. Next year I'm going to be using this as my school bag, with it being my last year at school I'm going to be carrying around a lot more work and school supplies than I have in the past so having a large bag with over the shoulder handles and a wipe down material is the perfect description of what I want.

The bag is also made of really good quality material so won't rip over the tie that use it, I also think the handles and flap over the top are also really good material so won't break over the time that I use it which has happened to me in the past when I bought cheaper bags, finally the zip on the bag is also really well made and won't break like they have on bags I've used in the past and as I said previously it has enough space for my laptop so if I want to bring it in for anything I can. Finally this bag will also be waterproof and so if it rains while I'm walking around or waiting for the bus all my work won't get wet which has defiantly happened to my friends in the past.
I really recommend buying this bag even if it is a little bit of an investment if you're looking for a really good bag for school, work or day trips in general plus as I bought it in Berlin I got it for cheaper if I had bought it in England because of the exchange rates.

Berlin - May 2016 Day 1

At the end of May this year I went to Berlin for four days from the 26th to the 30th and I can defiantly say it wasn't long enough, I had been the Germany before and have loved it( you can read about the last time I went to Germany in my Beautiful Places blog post) but I defiantly loved the city lifestyle that little bit more. Berlin was so open and friendly and full of amazing things to do and see which was made even better by the summer sun making the city at least 20'c the whole time I was there, most places in Berlin have at least one English speaking person so there was no language barrier in any of the places I went to.

On the first day after checking into the Hotel we went to check point Charlie the only place foreigners visiting Berlin could cross from East to West and back again when the Berlin wall was built and became the most famous of all the check points. At the check point there were actors dressed as American solders who will take your picture for you and with you so you can remember the experience. After taking pictures at the check point we then went into the Check Point Charlie Museum which was founded by Dr Rainder Hilderbrandt in 1962 which was full of art work to do with the check point and Berlin at that time along with other interesting information which I wouldn't of know otherwise. One thing that really stuck out to me was a book of all the names of people taken to concentration camps during the holocaust which as you can image was very long and split over several books with made it very real as you saw the individual names of the people effected.

After going the museum we walked around Berlin where I got a frankfurter which was amazing (as expected)then we went to a part of the Berlin wall which was very surreal. It was also very interesting because it wasn't just the wall but it had people's stories and other information which gave me a little more incite on how the wall effected normal people, we later went into the topography of terror which was a museum which is located on the former site of  Niederkirchnerstrasse, the site of the Nazi Regime building between 1933-1945. The building was very modern and bright white which is the opposite to the Nazi buildings which were there formally which were grey and dark. The building was also surrounded by stones which is the Jewish was to honour the dead which I thought was very sentimental. The museum was very interesting and taught me a lot about how people we're discriminated during the Nazi Regime along with the horror committed by the Gestapo.

Later in day one we went to the Reichtag building which is the parliamentary building in Germany, before we went in we had lunch outside in the sun while we waited for our tour. When we went inside we went up a lift to the very top of the building which has a dome on the top, along with other parts of the  building it was made of glass which is designed to make the politics of Germany transparent. On the top of the building you could see a lot of the city, you can also walk around the glass dome which has spiral ramps which go to the top which also has an amazing view of the city and is perfect for photos.

After the Reichtag building we went to the KaDeWe which was full of designer stores and makeup counters with around 6 floors it has a lot to choose from even with a floor completely dedicated to food, as I was in one of the biggest malls in the country I couldn't resist buying something. As they had a Longchamp shop and I had wanted a La Paige for a very long time I decided to buy one which after having the bag for a little over a month now was defiantly a good purchase and will be worth the money. Overall the mall was amazing with very friendly staff who once again had amazing English and made the overall experience great.

After going to the mall we went back to the hotel for dinner and the later heading out to the holocaust memorial which is very famous and a defiant must see when going to Berlin, the memorial is a variety of different height concrete blocks placed in lines. The memorial has a different impact on different people and is interpreted differently but to me it created the impression if a being crowded and confined in a small area which may have been what it was like in the concentration camp but was defiantly an experience that I recommend. The memorial is also a little walk from the site of Hitler's bunker which you can go to place where it used to stand where there is a board telling you about how it was laid out and a little about it.

Finally on day one we went to the Brandengurg gate which again is very famous and is something I defiantly recommend visiting when going to Berlin, I would recommend visiting the gate not only because of the history but because of the atmosphere around, it does defiantly come across as the hot spot of the city with street performers; when I went there was bubble machines where you could pay to make massive bubbles, it was also surrounded by restaurants and hotels. It also had a Duncan donuts which I could help but go into and get a donut and ice coffee which was very nice to say the least. Going here topped of the end of my first day in Berlin especially because of how beautiful the gate looked at night and I would recommend going later in the day to see it in the lights!

I hoped you enjoyed my first day in Berlin

Terrific Tuesday - Beautiful lashes macara by Beautiful movement cosmetics

If you know me you'll know that mascara is my favourite makeup product which really changes how I look and finishes of my makeup so it's something I'm particularly picky about but one of my favourites is the Beautiful movement cosmetics beautiful lashes mascara. This mascara really lengthen my lashes at first and as you build up the coats it also adds volume to my lashes which in my case is quite important as I wear glasses so it prevents my lashes getting lost behind them. The mascara formula is very black and not too thick which help prevent clumps even when you layer up the mascara, the packaging of the mascara is quite simple as its just black with the no animal cruelty logo on the front with a green band and a plastic wand but I think the basicness of the packaging works with the brands message.

Another reason this mascara and brand is so amazing is because the brand and all the ingredients in the products are completely cruelty free and as a brand they a fighting to stamp out animal cruelty. the brand also has the approval of the BUAV (British Union for the Abolition of Vivisection) and push the support of the BUAV which you can so on the website www.Buav.org.

Terrific Tuesday - The Maybelline dream velvet foundation.

This weeks terrific Tuesday is Maybeline's first gel-whipped foundation which is one of my new favourite. The foundation claims to
  • Hydrate your skin
  • Perfect and smooth your complexion
  • Have a soft-matte finish
  • Leaves your skin feeling fresh
The foundation is firstly in my perfect shade which rarely happens meaning I have to blend different shades but the shade I picked up (10 ivory) is perfect for my skin tone making it easier and quicker to just apply, it also looks more natural and skin like as it just blends with my skin simply perfecting it which is something it claims to do. The foundation creates to appearance of healthy, smooth and perfect skin as it just air-brushes any imperfections without caking over them which would make them look more obvious. The foundation also has matte finish without again looking like a foundation but prevents a oily finish which can happen as I have combination skin, the foundation also has subtle a little like a moisturiser. The foundation is also very moisturising and hydrating on the skin which most matte foundations don't tend to be again making the foundation look more beautiful and natural, finally it is a very long wearing foundation which I don't tend to find as makeup doesn't stay on my skin making it my perfect and favourite matte foundation.

First impressions Thursday - MUA Pro-Base mattify fixing mist

Since buying this setting spray a little over a week ago I've fallen in love with it and now my makeup isn't complete without a few sprits. The spray claims to:
  • Mattify and oil-control
  • micro-fine mist for easy application
  • ultimate fixing power
After a few sprits of the spray it makes my makeup look like skin and very natural, so much so I've had several compliments on it saying how natural it was, although the product claims to be mattifying I would say it was more of a dewy natural finish but doesn't make my skin look oily along with reasonable oil control although I will still powder my skin like I normally would. The spray it's self is very light with little sent and is quite refreshing when you spray it and really does improve the finish of my makeup. When it comes to staying power I think it does improve the length my makeup stays on my face through out the day as I don't re-apply my makeup through out the day, The packaging of the product is still quite basic and if just white with a purple and silver rapper with the products name and description on but as the product is only £5 for 60ml I don't think you can complain. Overall I think the product is defiantly value as I feel it should be worth more and defiantly recommend this product and will be repurchasing it as it is my new holy grail product!

Terrific Tuesday - Bare Mineral bare skin foundation

The Bare Minerals foundation is one of my new favourites; the foundation is light ( a very water like consistency) but still has enough coverage, it feels very weightless and feels like I don't have any makeup on, the foundation also looks very natural and while wearing it I've had multiple compliments on had natural it looks. It is also perfect for summer as I don't really want to wear a lot or anything heavy while its hot as well as it having spf 20 making sure it protects my skin. I think it is quite long wearing as well, personally I don't set my makeup with powder as I feel it gives an unnatural finish but I finish it with setting spray which makes it look even more like my skin. But overall this is my new favourite foundation and if your not really big on the feeling of makeup or heavy coverage foundation I would say this is perfect for you and I defiantly recommend you try it out!

My favourite Nudes - my top 5 nude lipcolours

One thing that is a staple in my makeup collection and that I have a hoard of are nude lipsticks, personally I don't think bright and bold lip colours suit me and that my skin tone is more suited to natural and nude shades so over the years I have come up with a list of 5 of my favourite nude lip colours that I know suit me.

1. The L'Oreal Color riche in Jlo's nude - This lipstick is absolutely beautiful and is the perfect blend of brown and pink to make the perfect nude for my skin tone, the lipstick applies with a glossy finish and is lovely and moisturising and has a rose scent ( a little like Parma violets) which I think is made by rose oil in the lipsticks formula to make it moisturising. The lipstick is reasonably long wearing but because it's not a matte finish it doesn't last as long but still has a good wearing time for the type of lipstick it is. The lipstick it's self comes in black matte packaging which the L'Oreal logo in gold and Jlo's signature in gold further down showing it's her lipstick as well as the name and shade stuck to the bottom so if you put it in a lipstick stand you can till see which lipstick it is. But overall this is my favourite of all the lipsticks I'm going to talk about and if at a reasonable drug store price that makes it available for almost everyone; I've almost finished my current one and will definitely be re-purchasing it!

 2. The forever 21 lipstick in oatmeal - This lipstick is a beautiful nude brown shade, a little darker than the L'Oreal one and is once again a glossy finish. It also quite long lasting for a glossy finish lipstick and is not drying although not as moisturising as the L'Oreal one, the lipstick doesn't really have a scent and just smells like regular lipsticks. The lipstick come in gold reflective packaging and has the brand further down the packet with the shade on the bottom once again so works for lipstick holders. Although the only problem with the packaging is that the lid can come of sometimes when it's in my bag or makeup bag, although the price of the lipstick makes up for it because of how cheap it is. So overall this lipstick is amazing for the price and is a beautiful shade which I would say is definately picking it up.

3. The Benefit lip gloss in Fauxmance - This is one of my favourite nude lipsticks and is in a beautiful dusty rose shade which again helps to compliment my skin tone. As it is a gloss it has a glossy finish which does mean it doesn't last as long, the lip-gloss comes out very pigmented and doesn't have a sticky formula or finish but if it is windy I wouldn't recommend wearing it with your hair down! The packaging the lipgloss comes in is absolutely beautiful just like the rest of the Benefit packaging and has a retro circus look about it with a clear plastic top so you can see the lip colour and a white twist lid. The applicator is just a basic plastic one which is attached to the tube and isn't really anything special, the glosses sent isn't really anything shocking and does just smell like a lip gloss. Overall I do love this gloss as it is absolutely beautiful and isn't your classic nude although; as it's from Benefit it isn't the cheapest at the higher end of the teens but I would say it is worth it if you have to money to spend!

4. The Soap and Glory sexy mother pucker in Rose and Shine - This again is one of my favourite nude lip-glosses and is more of the classic soft pink nude. I would say the colour is a soft, dusty pink, isn't the most pigmented and isn't as much as the Benefit one ,but, is also a softer colour. It also isn't a sticky formula and just has a beautiful glossy finish which isn't too much but just adds a little something to your lips. The thing that makes this product stand out the most though is the plumping action that it has, this could also be a reason as to why people may dislike this product and I will say if you don't like tingly lipglosses you definitely wont like this as it does tingle a lot and definitely plumps my lips. Personly I would say it is one of the most tingly lip glosses I have had but it does improve the fullness of my lips and this is definitely one of the reasons I like it so much. The lipgloss comes in glass clear and black packaging so you can see the products with the logo and name on the clear glass part and the shade on the bottom once again making it perfect for storage, the product is also very affordable as it's a drugstore lip products. Overall I really like this lip colour and if you want a more traditional nude lip gloss I think this would be perfect for you.

5. The Revlon just bitten kissable balm stain in 001 honey - This is a beautiful crayon nude which I have been a fan of since they came out a few years ago because of the easiness and speed of the product. It is also really long wearing because of the crayon application it despite still having a not completely matte finish. The product is a beautiful rosy pink shade and is a little bit of a darker nude and means you can switch it up even if your not a fan of bright lip colours. The product has a very smooth application and comes with a lot of product, it has a slightly minty scent to it although it not being a tingly on your lips, the product comes in a long crayon shaped tube in a similar dusty pink shade to the actual lip colour showing the shade and did come with the name written on it in white although it has worn of over time  although it also has the shade on the bottom. Once again this is also one of my favourite nudes especially if I don't want to go for a traditional nude.

Terrific Tuesday - Soap and Glory blush and bronzer

This weeks terrific Tuesday is actually two products I love and have been using together for the last week or so and compliment each other perfectly to finish of my makeup. This weeks terrific Tuesdays are the Soap and Glory solar powder bronzer and love at first blush blusher, if you know me you know that my makeup is never finished without bronzer and contour and solar powder just ups my cheek bone game to a whole other level - the powder has two shades; a more golden highlighter shade and one darker more contouring shade. Usually I will contour first with the product I'm currently using to do that and I will follow up with the darker shade below my cheek bones and jaw line to create more depth and then take the lighter shade which I just powder over all the places the sun would naturally hit creating a more glowing and healthy complexion.

Once I've contoured and bronzed I will then follow up with the blusher - this blush includes three shades; two pink shades and one white highlighting shade. The mixture of shades help to highlight as well as add a natural flush, this product again helps make my skin look healthier and less flat after the foundation as well as brightens my face as create a more youthful look. Just like the bronzer the blusher just adds something extra to my face and help improve the look of my cheek bones. These two products are two of my favourite products and with drugstore prices it won't break the bank to buy and later re-purchase the products and are suitable for anyone from beginners to experienced people who have been doing makeup for 20 years because of the easiness of the products as all you have to do is swirl your brush and swipe it in the correct areas. I hope you try out this weeks terrific Tuesday and hopeful they change your makeup game like they changed mine.

Lots of Love

Photography Friday

So as I was struggling for a blog post idea for this Friday I decided to start a new little series that I will do every so often called: "Photography Friday" which will basically be my life in pictures which I will post every few weeks. It will be a little like instagram but with more of a caption and story to the photo and will just be a break up to my regular posts and will have a few more photos. In a previous post I touched on my passion for photography and so this can be another thing I enjoy that I can share with you.

This weeks pictures are from our performance at the Portsmouth Guildhall for rock challenge 2016. This years theme was the power of the mind and the danger of the internet and how  you can get sucked in into things you don't want to be involved in. Rock challenge is all about friendship and health and fitness and was overall a great experience with great people- you can see some of the cast in the picture of the trees and I was able to make some amazing new friends.

If you ever get the chance be involved you should take it and although we didn't place we still won awards and it was still an amazing opportunity.

Terrific Tuesday - Givenchy lower lash mascara

Sorry I haven't written in a week but I decided to take a week off to celebrate Easter, to spend it with my family and just to have a break from the work.
I'm back with a terrific Tuesday;  the Givenchy lower lash mascara in "1 phenomen black", this mascara is designed to be perfect for you lower lashes and the ones your regular mascara applicator can't get to; improving the look of my eyelashes making the appear: longer and fuller. I've had more time on my makeup recently as I don't have to rush around to get somewhere so I can take more time and try different products or just things I haven't tried yet, but really this step only takes a minuet or less to do and does improve my makeup and opens up my eyes. I will say if you don't set your under eye concealer properly or put the mascara on before you do your concealer it does transfer and as well as transferring over time but as it's not waterproof that is kind of expected and because of how much it lengthens your eyelashes they do touch your under eye area. So overall this product just adds a little more to your makeup and has been the perfect partner to a smoky eye and if you want a little more to your makeup this is the perfect product.

First impressions Thursday - Rimmel Fix and Perfect Primer

Recently I picked up the Rimmel fix and perfect primer as it was on offer and I was very impressed. The primer smooth's my skin, has a nice sent, makes my skin soft and hydrated before my makeup, makes my makeup go on smoother and finally helps my makeup stay longer. It also helps to slightly brighten my skin and mattify it before I put on my makeup.

I love this primer and it really does help improve the quality of makeup, this is also my new favourite primer and is a perfect cheaper version for the  smash box photo finish primer which you all know that I love due to it being one of my terrific Tuesday ,but, this primer is just as good or better than the smash box one and is almost £30 pounds cheaper. I prefer the rimmel one as it mattifies my face rather than the other one making a little more oily which helps the makeup stay on my face longer and improves the quality of the makeup although, it may not be the primer but my skin as become a little dryer. Bit overall despite the small problem this primer is very good and has really improved the overall appearance of my makeup.

Terrific Tuesday - Liz Earle superskin concentrate

This weeks terrific Tuesday is a skin saving product that I love. The Liz earle super skin concentrate which is a roll on face oil which helps to plump and smooth the skin. It also claims to:
"plump, smooth and rebalance the look and feel of your skin with this aromatic, intensive night-time concentrate."
The oil helps to just make my skin look a lot plumper and healthier as well as being relaxing before you go to sleep.

As most of you already know how good the other Liz earle products are you won't be surprised at how good this one is, it really refreshes and perfects my skin and just seems like it magically transforms my skin over night and works amazing with the other Liz earl products. Just like all the other Liz earl products it smells amazing and is cruelty free and if your skin is just looking a bit dull and tired I would really recommend you try this product out!

Terrific Tuesday- soap and glory thick and fast mascara

This weeks Terrific Tuesday is something that I've been using for around two months and have been a fan of. One thing that is something that I take quite a long time on and something that may surprise you is my mascara. Because I wear glasses I use more mascara than most people to make my eye's more defined behind my glasses as I feel they tend to get lost behind the frames and having very light hair and light eyelashes I don't have the natural definition so I do it through my mascara and eyeliner. One of the Christmas presents from my parents was a soap and glory makeup set and in it was soap and glory thick and fast mascara, when I use mascara I actually never use just one and when I use thick and fast I use it along with the benefit they're real mascara, another one of my favourites, which creates the finish I like of long and full eyelashes. It is a very black formula and is reasonably long wearing; although it does have a slightly strange sent and does definitely sting if you get it in your eye when taking it off but overall this is one of my new favourite mascara's and as it's a high street product it won't be painful to my bank account to buy it. (P.s at the moment the mascaras on offer at boots)

My 5 product face

One thing that is part of my morning routine every day without fail is makeup ,but, since I have to be at my bus stop everyday for quarter to 8 I don't want to spend half an hour doing my makeup so I've come up with my perfect 5 product face!

1. The benefit big easy bb balm - This all in one bb balm works as a moisturiser, primer, bb cream and powder, because of this I can do 4 steps in a few quick strokes of a brush cutting around 5 minuets of my makeup routine which although not sounding like much but in the morning when I'm trying to be a quick as possible it really helps.

2. The soap and glory super cat liner - one thing that I can't go without is eyeliner as it just finished my face and makes me look complete; this eyeliner is a felt tip which helps make it faster again something important and I can do my signature wing.

3. The benefit they're real mascara - This my all time favourite mascara. It gives a good balance of length and volume without making them look too fake and in your face but makes them stand out just enough behind my glasses, it also has a amazing staying power is all around just amazing.

4.Loreal brow artist plumper - Because I have light hair my eyebrows are near on non existent this product helps to just give my brows some substance before I fill them in and make them appear more natural. It's reasonably well wearing and doesn't break up during the day and has a good colour.

5. My final product is the soap and glory brow archery - A brow pen and crayon in one; it helps to save time as you don't have to rush around looking for the other product but simple have to turn it over as well as if your using one step and want to redo part of it you don't have to find the other product again. It has good colour matches and staying power and is just a good quick and easy product.

I hope you enjoyed this Fridays blog post and that it helps you cut out that bit of time in a morning.

Lots of Love
